Privacy Policy

FILTERED ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. What we collect
FILTERED collects only what it needs to function:
- Message text — when you attempt to send a message on a supported platform, the text content is processed to generate a quality score. This text is sent to Anthropic's API for Tier 2 scoring and is not stored by us beyond the duration of the API call.
- Score data — composite and per-axis scores, the platform domain, your tier, and the action you took (edit, send anyway, discard) are stored in our database associated with your account.
- Account information — if you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed password via Supabase Auth.
- Usage counts — we track how many messages you've scored this month to enforce free tier limits.
- Anthropic API key — if you provide your own API key, it is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and is never transmitted to our servers.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not store the raw text of your messages on our servers.
- We do not read, store, or transmit messages that are not being scored.
- We do not track your browsing history beyond the domain where a score was triggered.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-party services
FILTERED uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic — message text is sent to Anthropic's Claude Haiku API for Tier 2 scoring. See anthropic.com/privacy.
- Supabase — authentication and score storage. Data stored in the United States. See supabase.com/privacy.
- Stripe — payment processing. We do not store card information. See stripe.com/privacy.
4. How we use your data
- To provide the core scoring feature.
- To display your personal score history in the dashboard.
- To enforce free tier usage limits.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To improve the product (aggregated, anonymized patterns only).
5. Data retention
Score history is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. On account deletion, all associated records are permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
7. Security
We use TLS encryption in transit and row-level security on our database. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
8. Children
FILTERED is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
